A pile of tvs. Shot taken during musikmesse Frankfurt 2014. Digitally reworked and blurred.
The mild December in 2013 allowed flowers in my garden to stay in bloom much longer than usual. Shrink Wrap Flower is based on a photo of one of the "last flowers standing". The original photo captured the colourful and intricate details of the flower. The stylistic alienation created by the digital reworking gives the photo a surreal touch.
Virtual female character wearing a wild outfit with accessories for a jungle style party.
A virtual female Vampire character obviously on the look out for her next victim. The photo has not been reworked and shows the original virtual lighting conditions that made the face appear completely lighted.
The subject of this work came from the creation of a female Glam Rock character from the Glam Rock early 70's period. The virtual photo has been reworked to create an etched effect on mirror glass.
I love stars! The stylisation of this photo showing a star (covered with polyester glitter) on blue background adds a surreal 3D-depth to the arrangement. The combination of brightly shining, glittering silver and bright blue is an absolute killer and my favourite colour combination.
Originates from a study into the realism of online game Avatars. Especially fascinating here is the exceptionally lifelike appearance of the character. Not reworked.
Official Second Life avatar of Duran Duran keyboard player Nick Rhodes. Original Second Life snapshot stylistically reworked. Not for sale.
Avatar study with the theme Horror/Halloween. Particularly impressive in this shot are the lifelike, shiny demon eyes. Second Life snapshot stylistically reworked.
Hybrid Avatar, part Human, part Robot created for an Outer Space themed event. Not reworked.
Created during the production of a Halloween themed virtual event. Not reworked.
Inspired by a TV Mania (Nick Rhodes and Warren Cuccurullo) song of the same name. Shot of a really comic-like avatar with a crystal ball in expressionist colours. Not reworked.
The official Second Life avatar of Duran Duran keyboard player Nick Rhodes. Originates from the production of a virtual event celebrating the musicians 51st birthday. Second Life snapshots with blended layers. Not for sale.
This is one of those things that I always wanted to do. Inspired by the song "The Ink in the Well" from British musician David Sylvian. Interesting here is the heart shape randomly created by the ink dissovling in the clear water which made it the most interesting shot of the series. Thanks to photographer Michael Shippers (Hauptstraße 51A, 56379 Weinähr) who helped me to produce the images.
Created in 2006 as a cover photo for a Duran Duran DVD competition. The cubes are of course not real Uranium but the mineral pyrite brought as a souvenir from a school trip when I was a teenager. I have always been fascinated by it's dark and mysterious shiny surface, so if you would have asked me as a teenager what Uranium looks like I would have described Pyrite... of course I still don't know exactly what Uranium looks like today! Thanks to photographer Michael Shippers (Hauptstraße 51A, 56379 Weinähr) who helped me to produce the image.

A beautiful gift discovered during an Autumn walk. When you love blue like I do you just have to start experimenting with it straight away. This result is for me an absolute icon! Although I have the feeling this design would also look good in other colours...
A tiny tragedy right on my doorstep. A small disaster that, as fate would have it, took place right in front of the camera - you just can't stage this kind of drama. Although I love playing with colours this photo shall remain a dark version of reality, it simply is what it is, but perhaps something else will come to me...
